Today in his Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman detailed the anticipated products he believes Apple will unveil at its “Let Loose” event scheduled for May 7.
Gurman now suggests a “strong possibility” that upcoming iPad Pro models will boast Apple’s next-generation M4 chip, departing from the M3 chip introduced in the MacBook Pro and iMac six months ago. He highlights a significant enhancement in the M4 chip’s Neural Engine, amplifying performance for AI tasks, and envisions Apple positioning the next iPad Pro as an AI-driven device.

Furthermore, he anticipates the unveiling of a new Apple Pencil featuring haptic feedback at the event. Although specifics on its functionality remain undisclosed, it’s conceivable that the Apple Pencil might integrate a compact Taptic Engine for vibrations during tool transitions and the rumored “squeeze” gesture.
