Apple Intelligence will begin rolling out next month with the release of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1, with additional features to follow in the coming months.
Apple also revealed the new iPhone 16 series, designed specifically for Apple Intelligence, with faster and more efficient A18 and A18 Pro chips, making these the most powerful iPhones yet.
Apple Intelligence will first be available in U.S. English and will expand to English in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the U.K. in December. More languages, like Chinese, French, Japanese, and Spanish, will be added next year.
Getting Started with Apple Intelligence
Apple Intelligence is fully integrated into iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia, using the power of Apple silicon to understand and generate language and images, perform actions across apps, and use personal context to streamline daily tasks—all while maintaining users’ privacy and security. Many of the models behind Apple Intelligence work directly on the device, and Private Cloud Compute allows for flexible processing between on-device and server-based models powered by Apple silicon.
The first Apple Intelligence features will be available next month, offering easy-to-use and intuitive tools designed to help users with tasks that matter most. For example, with Writing Tools, users can improve their writing by rewriting, proofreading, and summarizing text in apps like Mail, Notes, Pages, and even third-party apps.

More Features Coming Soon
Additional Apple Intelligence features will be introduced later this year and into the coming months. One of these is Image Playground, which will let users quickly create fun images. Another feature, Image Wand, will turn rough sketches into polished images, making notes more visually engaging. By circling an empty space, Image Wand will generate an image based on the surrounding context. Emojis will get a major upgrade with Genmoji, allowing users to create custom emojis by typing a description or selecting a photo of a friend or family member.
Siri will become even smarter, using personal context to deliver tailored assistance. It will also gain onscreen awareness and be able to perform hundreds of new actions across Apple and third-party apps. Additionally, users will be able to access ChatGPT’s extensive knowledge, including its ability to understand images and documents, directly from several features in iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia, without switching between different tools.
