Alongside fresh features such as a squeeze gesture, gyroscope, and Find My integration, there’s an intriguing packaging surprise with the Apple Pencil Pro.

Arun Maini and Nikias Molina pointed out that Apple has devised five distinct box designs for the Apple Pencil Pro, each featuring the word “Pro” in its own distinctive style. Upon purchasing an Apple Pencil Pro, customers will receive one of these five boxes randomly.

The Apple Pencil Pro introduces several notable features, including the capability to trigger a tool palette by squeezing the accessory, a gyroscope enabling users to precisely manipulate pen and brush tools by rolling the Apple Pencil Pro, haptic feedback for select actions, and the integration with the Find My app for locating the Apple Pencil if misplaced. Priced at $129, the Apple Pencil Pro is exclusively compatible with the recently announced new iPad Pro and iPad Air models. Despite this, the first-generation Apple Pencil, second-generation Apple Pencil, and the more affordable Apple Pencil with a USB-C port remain available, resulting in a more intricate Apple Pencil lineup for the time being.

Pre-orders for the Apple Pencil Pro are currently open, with the product set to launch on May 15th.
