Before We Begin
- Downgrading with 3uTools is only possible if Apple is still signing the older version of iOS you want to downgrade to. You can check which versions are being signed on IPSW(.me): IPSW.me.
- It’s recommended to back up your device using iCloud or iTunes before downgrading to prevent data loss.
What You’ll Need
- A computer
- A USB cable to connect your device to the computer
- Latest version of 3uTools installed on your computer (http://www.3u.com/)
- Your iPhone or iPad
Steps
- Launch 3uTools and connect your iPhone or iPad to your computer using the USB cable.
- Click on “Flash & JB” then “Easy Flash”.
- In the “Select Firmware” section, choose the signed iOS version you want to downgrade to. Make sure it’s compatible with your device.
- Do not select the checkbox “Retain User’s Data While Flashing” as this option can lead to flashing failures during downgrade.
- Click on “Flash” to begin the downgrading process.
- A pop-up window will appear reminding you that this process will erase all data and settings on your device. Click “Yes” to proceed.
- The downgrading process will start. It may take up to 10 minutes to complete. Do not disconnect your device during this time.
- Once the downgrade is complete, your device will reboot.
