Foldable iPhone to be accompanied by foldable iPad in 2026

Another analyst has predicted that Apple will launch foldable devices in 2026, claiming that two items will be released that year. Rumors about Apple’s highly anticipated flexible smartphone, the iPhone Fold, suggest a 2026 launch. Now, an analyst has reinforced this timeline, adding that another device will also be available.

According to Jeff Pu from Haitong Securities, via BGR, Apple plans to release foldable devices in 2026. This aligns with other rumors about the iPhone Fold but includes the possibility of another product.

Pu suggests that Apple might introduce a foldable iPad alongside the iPhone Fold in the second half of 2026. Although it could have launched earlier, Pu believes that issues with display durability have delayed its development and release.

The folding iPad has been rumored almost as much as the iPhone Fold, offering a similar concept but in a larger format. In February, rumors suggested it could be a 7-inch or 8-inch device, potentially replacing the iPad mini.

There have also been indications that larger foldable screens, up to 20 inches, are in development.

In addition to discussing flexible devices, Pu mentions the prospect of the iPhone 17 Slim, a thinner version of the iPhone that could replace the Plus model. This model is expected to boost sales for the 2025 generation of devices, alongside advancements in Apple Intelligence.
