The upcoming iOS 18.1 update will let users change their primary iCloud.com, mac.com, or me.com email addresses. Previously, Apple only allowed users to create email aliases, but not change their main address. Now, users can update their primary email linked to their Apple Account (formerly Apple ID) without needing to delete the old one or re-verify their identity. This change will also ensure that only the new address is visible when sharing documents or sending invitations, rather than the old primary email.
