Apple is Expected to Release M4 Macs in November

According to confidential information obtained by MacRumors, Apple is expected to announce new Mac models featuring M4-series chips in November.

A reliable source says Apple will release new Mac models in November 2024. While it’s common for Apple to release new Macs later in the year, this is the first time a specific month has been mentioned for the M4 Macs.

Apple could still hold an event in October to announce the new Macs. Last year, Apple revealed its “Scary Fast” event on October 23 and held it on October 30, where they introduced new MacBook Pro and iMac models with M3 chips. These Macs were then available on November 7, so a similar timeline might happen this year.

Rumors suggest that Apple plans to launch four new Mac models with M4-series chips by the end of the year: an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M4 chip, new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with the M4 Pro and M4 Max chips, a new iMac with the M4 chip, and a redesigned Mac mini with both M4 and M4 Pro chips. Except for the Mac mini, these devices are expected to be minor updates focused on the new chips, with the possibility of 16GB of memory becoming standard. Some of these devices are reportedly in mass production now, which suggests they could be released in November.
