Apple Maps is now compatible with Firefox and Edge browsers on Mac

After initially being available on Safari, Chrome, and Edge for Windows, Apple Maps is now working on more browsers, including Firefox and Edge for Mac.

In July, Apple Maps was released on the web in beta after more than ten years, but it only supported a few browsers. Now, with a recent update, it’s accessible on many more browsers.

Originally, the web version supported Safari, Chrome, and Edge, but only on Windows. With the update, Firefox and Edge for Mac are now supported as well.

This expansion is good news for Apple Maps, offering users another option besides Google Maps in their browsers. The new browsers have the same features, like search and a familiar interface, though turn-by-turn navigation is not yet available. You can still get directions, find guides, business info, and reviews. A feature like Google Street View, called Look Around, is planned for a future update.
