"Apple opts for 'top-tier OLED panels' in new iPad Pro."

Display Supply Chain Consultants report that Apple’s forthcoming iPad Pro models will sport OLED panels hailed as the superior choice in the market. Scheduled for unveiling on May 7, these OLED iPad Pro models will boast LTPO technology, enhancing power efficiency compared to standard OLED. Additionally, they will offer a ProMotion refresh rate of 120Hz, along with a tandem stack and glass thinning, promising ultra-thin, lightweight displays. These advancements aim to deliver high brightness, prolonged battery life, and increased longevity.
As previously rumored, today’s report indicates that the upcoming iPad Pro models will come in 12.9-inch and 11.1-inch sizes, boasting slimmer bezels and a notably thinner profile. For instance, the 12.9-inch variant will be more than 1mm thinner than its predecessor.

There’s a chance that initial supplies of the 11.1-inch iPad Pro may be limited due to Apple addressing light leakage issues, which reportedly don’t affect the 12.9-inch model.

In addition to featuring the top-tier OLED display, the iPad Pro models may include Apple’s upcoming M4 chip, optimized for AI, and are anticipated to be accompanied by a new Apple Pencil and an updated Magic Keyboard. Furthermore, Apple is set to introduce new 10.9-inch and 12.9-inch LCD iPad Air models.

The refreshed iPads are scheduled for unveiling on Tuesday, May 7, at 7:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
