Apple has released the fourth beta of watchOS 11 for public testers today, giving non-developers a chance to try out the new features before the official release this fall. The fifth beta follows just one week after the fourth.
You can download watchOS 11 after signing up on Apple’s beta software website and updating your iPhone to the iOS 18 public beta. Then, open the Watch app on your iPhone, go to General > Software Update, and select the watchOS 11 Public Beta under Beta Updates.
watchOS 11 introduces a new Vitals app, providing a daily overview of your health metrics like heart rate, sleep, respiratory rate, and oxygen levels, comparing them to past data to spot anything unusual.
The Smart Stack now includes widgets like Translate and Shazam and suggests widgets based on time, location, and routine. You can also interact with widgets directly from the Smart Stack, which now supports Live Activities.
Training Load measures how workouts affect your body over time, giving you an effort level for cardio workouts to help you balance rest and exertion.
You can customize Activity Ring goals for different days and add rest days without breaking your streak, allowing you to pause activity tracking as needed.
Other new features include more workout types, a Check In option for Messages, a revamped Photos watch face, improvements to Double Tap, and more. For full details, check out the watchOS 11 roundup.
