According to a source familiar with the matter, Apple plans to launch a Calculator app for the iPad, more than 14 years after the device’s initial release.

iPadOS 18 is set to introduce a built-in Calculator app for all compatible iPad models. This update is anticipated to be announced during the opening keynote of Apple’s WWDC developer conference on June 10.

The absence of an official Calculator app for the iPad has been a popular topic on social media, with users eagerly awaiting its introduction. In the interim, many have turned to third-party calculator apps like PCalc and Calcbot from the App Store.

Recently, AppleInsider reported that macOS 15 will include an overhauled Calculator app featuring integration with the Notes app, a resizable window, and a sidebar displaying recent calculations, among other features. While these details have not been independently verified, it’s conceivable that the new Mac app will draw inspiration from the upcoming iPad app.
