One of the most enjoyable ways to personalize your iPhone is by setting custom ringtones for your calls. With the release of iOS 17, Apple has changed the process, but it’s still easy to create and use your own unique ringtones.
Using GarageBand on iPhone
The simplest method is to use the built-in GarageBand app on your iPhone:
- Open GarageBand and tap the “Tracks” option, then swipe to the “Audio Recorder” section.
- Tap the “Loop Browser” icon to import an audio file from the Files app on your iPhone.
- Drag the imported file into the GarageBand workspace and trim it to 30 seconds or less.
- Tap the downward-pointing arrow in the top left corner to save the project.
- Select “My Songs”, then the “Share” option to export it as a ringtone.
