Apple updated the Battery section of the Settings app in iOS 18, adding a feature that indicates if you charged your iPhone with a “slow” charger.

Periods of slow charging are displayed with an orange bar in the Battery settings section that shows battery usage and charging over the past 24 hours or 10 days.
We observed the slow charging notice after using a 5W wireless charger, similar to a Redditor who highlighted the feature. The exact criteria for “slow” charging are unclear, but this designation is helpful for users experiencing slow charging speeds and seeking the cause.

Confusing Claims about Wireless Charger Speeds:
Many wireless chargers advertise themselves as MagSafe, but their charging speeds are actually limited to the slower Qi standard or even worse. This can leave iPhone users wondering why their phones aren’t charging as fast as they expect.
Missing Alert for Slow Charging:
While there’s no built-in notification for using a slow charger, arguably a more helpful feature, Apple currently doesn’t offer an alert for slow charging. While there’s an “information” button that appears when slow charging is detected, it currently leads to a non-existent support document.
