IHG Hotels & Resorts, pioneering AirPlay-compatible TVs in-room, is introducing this feature to selected locations. Starting Thursday, over 60 IHG hotels across North America will enable guests to link their iPhones or iPads to the room’s TV, allowing streaming, music playback, Apple Arcade gaming, Apple Fitness+, and more.
Guests can connect by scanning a unique QR code displayed on the TV, ensuring privacy. Once checked out, the TV connection data is wiped, safeguarding guest activity from future guests and staff.
IHG’s portfolio includes brands like Holiday Inn, Hotel Indigo, Candlewood Suites, and InterContinental Hotels & Resorts. A list of properties offering AirPlay-compatible TVs can be found on the IHG Hotels & Resorts website.
Earlier in February, LG announced the introduction of AirPlay-compatible TVs, including models like the LG Pro: Centric Smart Hotel TV, in select hotels this spring.
