Capcom has introduced “Resident Evil 7” to the App Store, bringing more zombie action to iPhone, iPad, and Mac. This adds to the growing list of Resident Evil games available on Apple platforms. On Tuesday, Capcom released this latest installment to thrill Apple users.
Released in 2017, Resident Evil 7 is a survival horror game where players control Ethan Winters as he searches for his missing wife in a derelict Louisiana plantation. It was the first in the series to feature a first-person perspective and was lauded for its pacing and narrative.
Resident Evil 7 is compatible with the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max (A17 Pro and later), iPads with M1 or later chips, and Macs running macOS 13.0 or later with M1 or later Apple Silicon. The game is 33.4 gigabytes and available to download for free, with the base game costing $19.99 as an in-app purchase and a DLC pack for $20.
Following the releases of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Village on Apple’s platforms, Resident Evil 2 is also being ported over.
